At Proper Tool Co., we proudly design, manufacture, and ship all our products from our shop in Austin, Texas. While we officially launched this brand in 2024, our journey started long before that. Proper Tool Co. was born out of Bold MFG & Supply, a brand renowned for its modern home goods, craftsmanship, and dedication to quality, American-made products. Bold MFG’s focus has always been on creating stylish, durable pieces—like mailboxes, firepits, and home accessories—that bring beauty and functionality to any space.
In 2023, to complement our core offerings at Bold MFG, we developed a small line of tool organization products. Initially intended to fill seasonal demand, these products quickly gained traction and sparked a new vision. We recognized a growing need for purpose-built organizational solutions for people passionate about their tools and spaces. So, we launched Proper Tool Co.—a dedicated brand committed to enhancing the way you work, organize, and take pride in your workspace.

Proper Tool Co. resides in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, about 15 miles outside of downtown Austin. Surrounded by nature and a lot of little critters (scorpions, included), our shop spans about 12,000 square feet.
